Hi, I am Javier Argüello-Luengo
I am a Physicist and Mathematician with a PhD in Photonics. I am currently an Assistant Professor at Universitat Politècnica Catalunya (UPC), where I work on quantum technologies at the Barcelona Quantum Monte Carlo group (BQMC).

Sept. 2025. "Simuladores Cuánticos" now on bookstores!
Alejandro González-Tudela and I have written this book for the collection "Física y Ciencia para todos" coedited by the Spanish Royal Physics Society. Here, we introduce the field of quantum simulation to the unexpert reader, and explain some interesting stories about Science and researchers.

Together with Laysan, Eva and Crina, we presented our Paul trap to the general public visiting the CQA stand at la Plaça del Born. An exciting opportunity to show the results of Laysan's project!
